Once you have completed either a week, month or a full program of climbing training. It is useful to measure and reflect your progress over that period of time.
After a period or block, review your inital goals for that period of time and period. Ask yourself did everything I did during this period contribute to my over all goal?
Looking at the upcoming week or month, is there anything to adjust based on the previous period. If you find that your training is not enough or too much based on ease or forecasting of time. Always feel free to pivot and adjust accordingly.
Once you completed a training program, it is important to review what was planned and then layer on top what was completed. Doing this will allow you to gain insights to what to expect prior to testing your benchmarks for improvement.
If you see that you had a hard time sticking to or following the program, this is a good note to make. It might be necessary to adjust based on what didn't work to better plan the next block.
Be verbose and write as much honest self evaluation when you can. This will be the key to unlocking the next steps for your training. Make sure you review goal setting to ensure you are making appropriate goals.
